Hello all,
I’m currently a veterinary receptionist with about a year of prerequisites finished. I’m hoping to go back to school (start with community college and then transfer when needed) and I’m having a hard time deciding what I should study. End goal is to become a Paralegal. I know in Washington State you don’t need a 4 year degree to become a Paralegal but that is the route I’d like to take. I’m extremely passionate about ocean conservation and my dream is to work for a firm or company that helps to protect the ocean and marine life. I’m wondering what route I should take to get there. I have a few ideas… First would be to study marine biology in undergraduate school and then become a Paralegal. The second idea is to study environmental science in undergraduate school and then become a Paralegal. And my final thought is to study whatever in undergraduate school and then try to build up experience with volunteering and such in the marine field. Is there anyone in this field or position that could give me advice? Or just know a lot about college and such? Is there an advisor or life coach or someone that could assist me in choosing the correct path, without deciding on a particular school?
I greatly appreciate the help in advance!
