@ccprofandmomof2 Oh it’s fine. Yes I am applying to rhode island school of art but art schools aren’t really in my consideration right now since they’re really expensive
Hi everyone,
First of all THANKS for the replies!
And to clarify things a bit: I’m applying to rhode island school of art but art schools aren’t really on my consideration list, since they’re pretty expensive.
And by saying math, english, and science bore me to sleep, I don’t mean I hate them, I just don’t take AP everything. I like them but I’m not passionate about them like I am around art and music, I’m also not a master at them. All I can say is that they’re “fun” to learn at times (things like solving triangles in precalc i find fun).
You may want to consider RIT – it’s a tech school on the outside but it has a great and unique arts department as well.
They have for example one of the only (the only?) medical illustration specialization.

It may be worth checking out the other arts programs there.
RIT has its own arena and figure skating

Other hidden-gem programs that are arts oriented include
Alfred U’s School of Art and Design

- Alfred's ceramics programs -- considered the best in the country http://www.alfredceramics.com/ https://www.alfred.edu/academics/colleges-schools/college-ceramics/index.cfm
- Alfred's glass programs -- it's the only one in the country -- this is an amazing program IMO. Why it's located at Alfred? Corning glass is nearby -- the maker of household and scientific glass https://www.alfred.edu/academics/undergrad-majors-minors/glass-engineering-science.cfm
It looks like Alfred – the town of the school – has been trying to get a skating rink. It might be close to being a reality by now – http://www.eveningtribune.com/news/20160114/alfred-ice-rink-closer-to-reality

Stop describing yourself as dumb. You come across as very talented. Also, there are many, many kids who will never hit 1200 on the SAT.
Hey, you might scoff at the idea, but there are hundreds of excellent community college that often produce students who outcompete those who attended 4 year universities. If i were you, I would find one in the area you want to live and attend one for two years. This is the better route because it will save you money, give you breathing room so you dont need to worry about changing your mind as much, and it is much easier to transfer to a competitive 4 year institution as one!
