i want something that would peak the interest of a bored admissions officer who has read TONS of essays--something unique that will make them sit up and say 'wait a minute'. something that will thoroughly entertain them and be interesting enough that it will catch them off guard.

i heard about someone who wrote there essay on how the way people eat oreos gives an insight to their personality. also i read in a book about someone who wrote about how the most influential book they read was the little train that could. im trying to think along those lines, something simple but out of the box.

here are some new ideas im thinking of:

1.how a person's shoes tells a lot about there personality

my experience in boot camp

3.tell a really cool/action filled/awesome story then at the end of the essay say that it never happened and put in some vision of reality (for example, "[my name] was a beautiful girl who rode horses [and build this elaborate story]..then at the end explain that in reality [my name] couldnt do that for_____ reason)

tell a story about something that happened to me, but write it in third person

Write about cutting my hair way too short (by accident), what I learned from it

6.write about black girl weaves and hair extensions (im a black girl with a lot of expirience with it--im like an expert)

7.break down a children's book and analyze it and what i learned from it/ how it relates to human nature

how important a woman's relationship with her heels is

9.write my essay about writing my college essay and searching for the perfect essay.

any comments/advice on these?? which ones sound like they could be the most interesting if done well? any suggestions on other, more interesting topics/ideas?
