Hello!
I'm a sophomore this fall studying Music Technology and Digital Multimedia Communications (emphasis on sound for film and media). I worked in radio (production editing, board operator), interned in the local film commumity as a boom operator/sound mixer for independent films (now paid freelancr field recording), and have been spending time in recording studios recording bands/mixing and mastering. my issue is that I have been doing all of this at a community college. I really feel that having a bachelor's degree would be benefical and smart to obtain. I live in Oregon, and would prefer to study in the NW, but am not opposed to leaving my comfort zone for school. I would prefer to have a four year degree in audio for film/sound design over a recording degree based in music. I've also looked into film schools, but none really seem to carry a sound program. I want to strengthen my understanding and skill in the audio field, but don't want to waste money on a school that doesn't cater to what I am after. I've had several conversations with advisors and professors without much fruitition, and am hoping that some of you might have some ideas for me to look into.

Thanks!
