Looking for transfer advice...

You have to have been out of school for 5 years to do RUE

Two friends just transferred in there directly from college. ?

Retake your SATs

Hey Cash,

What was your MOS? I also have a non-traditional military background and I got into George Washington for this fall semester as an International Relations major. Since I've been out of high school for more than five years (I'm 24 y/o) I didn't have to submit any SAT scores. I would suggest retaking yours to try to get a better score and if you don't do as well then you don't have to report them to many schools you may apply to. Check on their individual websites.

Work hard on your essays and tell each individual school why they caught your interest and why you would be a great fit there. Be specific!

There is another military background non-trad background CC'er who got into Georgetown's Arabic program, mostly because she seemed so passionate about Arabic and had high Defense Language Institute marks. So learn from her and show passion for the school and the program you seek admittance to.

You can do a search of my threads to find more of my stats or PM if you want any help with the GW transfer process as a military applicant.

You didn't mention anything about your high school record. Many of the schools you listed will look at your high school grades. Unfortunately lots of schools also pay too much attention to this part of your life even though after a military and civilian professional career experience but the admissions process is what it is.

Take care and good luck.
