I recently finished my third semester at NYU-Poly (now officially part of NYU). But my grades have been terrible. I went through some tough times including getting hurt and missing two weeks of classes. I was studying Chemical and Biological Engineering and have a cumalative GPA of 1.425. Yah I know thats bad. I live in NYC and dont want to move unless I get a really good oppurtunity somewhere close to NY. I dont know what to do right now. My tuition is really high right now so Im thinking about transfering. Where can i transer to and still be able to get a decent enginnering degree. Thanks for your help. I will give you any more info if needed.

For pretty much any school worth attending you need a minimum of a 2.0 GPA to transfer. For any school with a decent reputation you’ll need at least a 3.0. I would suggest attending community college for a minimum ofone or two semesters to try to boost your GPA. If you do really well at the community college, then it may give you a decent shot at a good school.
