<p>HAVE TO, no, I don’t think so, but I think the letter that comes with it explains pretty well why they value it.</p>
<p>for those who were accepted, what were your ssat scores, interviews like, extra curriculars?</p>
<p>not sure if im going yet, but im also looking ath the explo information. ccutler, my ssat was 90%, and the interview they just ask you what your favorite class is, why, what sports you play, and other stuff like that. i play lacrosse, basketball, and golf, and im in a select singing group</p>
<p>okay thanks, I’m not trying to be nosy or anything; I’m just wondering because my mom thinks loomis is a lower tier than Andover, Exeter, choate, hotchkiss, etc. I currently go to Hopkins School in CT, which is like the day school equivalent to a top tier boarding school. my mom doesn’t want me to leave that school if i will be going down a notch to loomis. however, I feel loomis is still a very good school and doesn’t get enough credit. how do you guys feel?</p>
<p>I got in the mid-90s for SSAT, play one sport, and am in 3 honors classes. I’ll be attending Loomis, and can’t wait 
I think it is comparable academically with the “first-tier” schools, but isn’t discussed as much because of its slightly smaller size, location, and high day student population.</p>

<p>im also in ct and i agree…loomis isnt as well known as places like exeter and andover but it still has great academics and you wont be stepping down if you decide to go. i know someone who goes to loomis now and they love it and say that its challenging but the faculty is amazing.</p>

<p>My daughter is going, and just like you she is excited about the hockey. The coach has done a lot of good recruiting-a lot of blue chip players so LC is going to continue to head in the right direction. Congrats and good luck at LC!</p>
