Los Angeles Times Festival of Books

<p>This might sound kind of dorky, but is anyone going? I'm considering it since I didn't get a chance to go to Welcome Day and this will be the first time in a LONG time that I've visited the campus. </p>

<p>Oh yeah, and... I just sent in my SIR like two days ago. =) I'm offcially a Bruin, email and facebook to prove it. LOL. =p</p>

<p>i've gone for the past 2 years.. i have to study for APs though. so i may, i may not. it's really fun! albeit crowded w/ lots of kids & strollers</p>

<p>I'll be there. I've gone the past few years - its a pretty cool event, if you like reading :)</p>

<p>god I want to go. I love books. however I'm in colorado right now and cannot. gah</p>

<p>What exactly do you do at the festival?</p>

<p>walk around, listen to speakers/authors, meet/get autographs from authors/celebrity authors, buy books, etc.</p>

<p>I did check out some of the $5 books; the entire tent was way too crowded for me to check out the books stacked at the end of each aisle, though. :rolleyes:</p>
