Loss of Interest & struggling in engineering

I have about 55 hours under my belt (considered a sophomore), and I am losing interest and struggling in my Engineering major. I have began my major-specific classes, and they are not interesting to me and it is making it difficult for me to concentrate and succeed in the classes.
In fact, I have already had to Q drop one of my physics classes
I find other major's much more appealing, especially marine biology, and I think it would be a bit easier and more fun compared to engineering.
My options are:
1. Change majors at the end of the semester, tell parents (probably disappointed), enjoy my major, and make probably less money than engineering in the future.
or
2. Continue in engineering, try to stick it out and pass classes, not be interested but do my best to pass, and make more money in the future.
Does anyone have any input or experience that could help me with this decision??
Thanks

What makes you think that you wont be losing interest and struggling in marine biology as well? If there’s any doubt you should opt for option 1.

What engineering, and why are you losing interest? It’s hard to help you if you’re vague.
