Lots of competition for a mature student with advanced standing?

Hey, my friend is 22 years old, and has been taking night classes at Ryerson University in Toronto. His GPA is above 2.0. He was one of those kids who completely ****ed up in high school. He has his high school diploma though. I've seen his transcript and it's very mediocre.

Now, 4 years after high school, he's changed a lot and has applied to Ryerson, to get into the full time Business Management program. The night classes he's been taking are the same ones required in the program (he's taken so many that he's almost reached third year courses), so I'd imagine the credits would directly transfer. He really wants to officially get into a university program; right now he's a continuing education student.

How likely is it that he'll get in? I'm really hopeful for him...

(I posted this under the what are my chances? category but didn't get any responses)
