Has anyone received or asked for their lottery number yet for housing if you are fpf

Looking back on a post from a few years back, theirs came on around July 10th. Have you gotten yours yet?

i just got my number…28…has anyone else gotten theirs?

how did you get yours? email?

yes…i emailed them today

^congrats, it is highly likely that you are going to get a dorm

I emailed them today regarding my FPF lottery #. Hopefully its not above 100… but with my luck, it’ll prlly be a huge number.

^ good luck!!

Wow, I didn’t even apply for housing because I recently got off the waitlist, you guys think I will get a dorm at all?

Oh that would be funny if one of us got number 1 lols

what? I emailed them on tues/wed and they told me to be patient. maybe I asked a little too early but I think they hate me :/

man they emailed me back saying that my lottery number is 192.

are you supposed to email Eddie Malone at reshall@berkeley.edu ? …cuz thats who i just emailed -__-

@thebatman, did you email them today?

I’ve emailed cal housing twice and I’m kind of afraid to bug them again haha

omg
my lottery number is 336
…what are the chances of me getting a dorm…

I had a friend last year who said her lottery number was probably within the last 10 or so, and she was still given an offer (just really really late).

no, i emailed them on thursday and they just responded today. the person said that they are going to start giving the first round of offers this friday. I think if you are in like the first 500, you are most likely going to get housing.

oh…not til friday? lame. they made it sound like it was going to be tonight. res hall said offers are coming out “very soon” -_-
I hear lottery numbers are repeated though so I thought there were way less than 500 lottery numbers total…technically I don’t really know what would be a “good” vs “bad” lottery number.

so does anyone know how many total lottery numbers there are/if every person gets a unique number?

If a lottery is what the name suggests, then…what number you get doesn’t matter. It goes down to…well…drawing of pusdo-random (well, pretty darn random) drawing independent of the number you get.

So I don’t understand this discussion.
