Love Biology...but HATE the lab! What to do?

So I am in love with the biology lecture component of the course, learning the material and all of that fun stuff. However, in the lab I feel so awkward and out of place. My 2 lab partners are best friends and talk amongst each other and completely leave me out of the experiments. I messed up ONE time (a very trivial thing) and now they do everything, while I sit there twiddling my thumbs. I'm naturally more inclined with learning material through reading, but I still want to contribute in the lab. I feel so embarrassed because I literally sit there for almost the whole duration while they do everything. When I offer to help they kind of blow me off and say 'We got it'. I don't know if I should talk to the teacher about how uncomfortable I feel...

lol, I’ve been there before. You should probably try to tell your partners first about how you want to get more involved; when you tell them, make sure you have some ideas lined up that you can also share so that you seem like you’re really ready to be a full participant. If that doesn’t work, I guess you could talk to the instructor about maybe switching or something…at least you can be thankful somebody’s doing your work for you…
