So I just finished my first year at Princeton and my gpa is pretty low. I was considering majoring in economics, but so far those are some of my lowest grades on my transcript. My first year, my overall lowest grades (like C, C+, and C-'s) were in Macro and Microeconomics, a Calc course, and an electrical engineering course. I don't think i want to major in economics anymore, so I need a little advice becuase although I know you do not need to be an econ major for thinkgs like ibanking (which I was considering at first, but now I want to go into real estate and eventually become a developer), i was wondering what kind of major would help me start off as a financial analysts at any type of company, those firms do not necessarily want someone with a degree in anthropology, right?

Were you slacking, or was it just not your thing? Did you get screwed with taking all the bad or really demanding professors? I'm assuming you're very intelligent since you're at Princeton, so maybe stick with it and see how it works out...because an econ degree would help most when looking for a job as an analyst...ESPECIALLY coming out of princeton.

I know none of this is relevant to your question, I just want to get a feel for how the situation was.

I would stay with Econ. Consider using ratemyprofessor.com before selecting a professor. It's very useful.
