UC’s tend to be very GPA focused so below the average of 4.25 Capped Weighted UCLA and 4.23 UCB (2019 stats) will make them tough admits. The rest of your application does look competitive so all you can do is apply, make sure you have 2 safety schools on your list and hope for the best.
2018 Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 3.80-4.19 capped weighted and not major specific:
UCB: 10%
UCLA: 9%

2019 Data:
25th - 75th percentiles for SAT totals:
UCB: 1340-1540

UCLA: 1330-1550

UC admission rates for 2019:
Freshman:
UCLA: 12.4%
UC Berkeley: 16.8%
Admission Rates for California Applicants:
UCLA: 11.8%
UC Berkeley: 19.2%

You have no hooks unless you are being recruited for a sport and since you are planning to apply this Fall, not much you can do at this point.

if you are first gen and/or low income, definitely mention those on your app. Otherwise, the odds are low. UC cares much more about GPA than test scores and while your tests are excellent, they will be of more value to other colleges than UC.

@Gumbymom . Appreciating a lot for your clear information !
2018 Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 3.80-4.19 capped weighted and not major specific: UCB: 10% UCLA: 9%

2019 Admission Rates for California Applicants:

my UC capped and weighted GPA is 3.89. less than 10% shot. looks ULCA more harder for CA applicants . thanks a again!

@bluebayou thanks a lot for your advices. which valuable. Thanks again!

2 years ago, S’s friend was in a similar situation as you. Straight A’s in STEM courses, more B’s in English and non STEM courses. He applied as an engineering/computer science major to all mid tier and higher UC’s, CPSLO, Stanford and USC. He was accepted to UCSD for general admission, not engineering, waitlisted at UCSB and UCD engineering and accepted at UCI and UCSC engineering. Also he was accepted at CPSLO and SJ State, rejected from UCB, UCLA, Stanford and USC. He decided to attend CPSLO and is doing well with a summer internship. If you are applying for STEM, engineering, computer science, applying broadly and include a few safety school which you know you will get into.

@UCBUSCalum
Thanks a lot for your Practical example and guidance!

You should apply and let them decide. People with your stats are admitted to both - but it is the exception so, apply broadly. UCSC, UCR UCM and SDSU very likely to accept you, be sure to include a couple of them on your ap list.
good luck

@NCalRent Thanks a lot for providing me confidence!
