I’ve transferred twice (Korea-Kansas-California now) and my gpa isn’t stellar as others who are applying to Penn. I’m really interested in dmd (digital media design) program and cs in general. My UW GPA is around 3.7 and my W GPA is 3.9. I know it’s a high high reach school for me but Penn is my #1. Just looking at gpa, would applying to Penn RD increase the chance of getting in?
Stop transferring.
@Muad_dib They’re in high school, they probably don’t have much choice in the matter.
I was still in my last year of middle school in Korea. So technically I finished middle school in Korea and then went to Kansas as a freshman in second semester but because the school years work differently in Korea it seems like I transferred twice on my transcript.
@bodangles - Oh, I thought he was talking about college.
@whateverrrr Applying to Penn ED will for sure increase your chances, and since Penn is your #1 choice you should. What do your Sat scores and ECs look like?
@Maud_dib Did you just read the first 3 words of his post and ignore the rest? I can’t imagine how you could think that he was in college. Btw good suggestion stop transferring.
Typically at Penn ED does provide a bit of an advantage. Apply ED only if: 1) a school is your absolute top choice 2) you don’t need to compare financial offers from other schools.
