I did terribly in high school, not because it was too difficult, but had some outstanding home life circumstances that interfered with my studies. That's no excuse, but I didn't just slack off and give up for no reason.

Anyways, my GPA my first 2 years of high school was quite decent, but my last two year, especially my senior year, things slid down and I screwed up horrendously. My weighted GPA may be somewhere in between 3.00~3.25 something in that ball park. Also didn't do any AP courses, and just did not do well (Which I hate myself for).

But I've been studying a lot lately, and taking classes, and let's say I score 2200 or something around there on my SAT's, do I have chances on getting into a good university?

I do plan on transferring to a top school if possible after my first year, but I'm Asian American and my family would basically disown me if I enrolled my first year in a community school or other poor ranking school, as I would shame my family, especially seeing as how my sister is doing so well academically.

I want to major in economics, international business, or other such fields, but did terrible in math in high school (I just gave up in math, not that it was ever too difficult, I mean I am Asian.. jkjk).

Anyways, after high school I moved to Korea to enroll in university here (But was advised against it), and for the last year and a half have been an English teacher at a private academy, and the owners, two university professors have written me excellent recommendations. I also can get excellent recommendations from some high school teachers.

In the next few months, I will complete my certificate of fluency at Yonsei University's Korean Language Institute, and will have that certificate and can get recommendations there.

I am enrolled at the Alliance Francaise here, and have completed DELF A2.
I also have a certificate in the TOPIK exam, level 4.
I also took classes at the Goethe Institute, completed Goethe-Zertifikat A2: Start Deutsch 2.
And will also be taking HSK level 2, maybe 3?!

Here in Seoul I just started ToastMasters, have volunteered and taught English to the underprivileged through an organization called HOPE (Am an active member). Also have taught English to a North Korean student (Of course volunteer work) through JFNK (Justice for North Korea), with which I am a member. I have also applied to be a member at the Red Cross Korea, and a few other organizations. I am also working on getting an internship somewhere before the end of the year.

Also back in the U.S. I used to volunteer at soup kitchens, was part of FBLA at my high school, played piano for 7 years, tutored a disabled student in high school, played basketball when I was younger, and did TaeKwonDo for numerous years.

.... So as one can see, I am in a unique position. And I need to finish up my SAT's and college applications before the end of the year, and I want to know what are the best possible universities I can get into? I most likely have to rule out NYU, BU, BC University of Pennsylvania, Cornell, Berkeley, Stanford, and such universities. But do I have a shot at the University of Utah, University of Indiana?! I want to get into the absolute best university I can, TOP 50 if I can, at least something to make my parents not completely despise me, and then try and transfer.

So what are my options?!

Any advice??!!
