My high school uses the 12 point scale for GPA (12 = A+, 11 = A, etc.) and class rank purposes. AP classes are given a 3 GPA points boost (15 = A+, 14 = A, etc.) when calculating GPA. The actual grade listed on the transcript is what you actually get. For example, if I get an A- in AP Chemistry. It's listed as an A- on the transcript, but it's considered a 13 when calculating GPA.

The issue is that my school also lists a 4 point GPA (alongside a 100 point scale) on the transcript. Despite the fact that the transcript claims it's weighted, it's not weighted. So, my 4 point GPA scale appears extremely low (~3.86). Simultaneously, the transcript only lists the "weighted" GPAs.

However, I'm currently ranked 1st in my grade. What effect does this have on my college admissions chances? I've already submitted four applications (two of which I will receive the results for this week). I haven't submitted just 1. I can go back and correct (by emailing the college's admissions office) two of the four already-submitted applications since I only very recently submitted those and those decisions aren't released until late-March.
