I am a junor in a Korean high school. I've attended three high schools so far, a Korean prep school for 3 semesters, a American public for 2 semesters and the present school in Korea that will take up three semesters. I think I am good with all the test scores and extracurricular activities but my concern is low GPA.

It was the first year that the school was established as I became a freshman so the curriculum was kind of mess and the school policy changed so many times. My GPA in this school is about 3.5. Maybe my teacher in this school can explain for me it in the rec. The school doesn't rank but the teachers remember me as a bright kid.

And I decided to challenge myself in a new environment; I went to America as an exchange student. My GPA in the urban public school was about 3.69 UW with as many AP classes possible. The Bs I got are mostly from the AP history classes which demand lots of English work. Plus, I had a hard time with my host family so couldn't focus on school work enough. The weighted GPA is 4.33. Even though I got several Bs, I am proud of my improvement and recognition of my hard work from others. I was not ranked because I was a foreign exchange but the counselor really admired my academic achievement.

And I came back home. I decided not to go back to the prep school I'd attended because of my family's financial situation worsened through the year. The school I am enrolled in now is a competitive private, but cheap school. Its curriculum entirely focuses on preparation for the Korean college entrance exam but ahandful of teachers teach: only fierce competition among students without instruction. I don't know how exactly the school grade its students but it is quite different with American system so I guess I will be just vaguely marked as top tenth in the class. They don't rank their students.

Okay, here is the question. I am aiming at Dartmouth next year. WILL DARTMOUTH CONSIDER MY LOW GPA BAD? How likely am I to be accepted? Thank your for reading :)
P.S the Korean schools teach in Korean and I am an international.
