I went to a community college right after I graduated High School for basically a year. My GPA is low due to failing some of the classes and I know they will stay there on my transcript so I haven't finished my Associates, still working on it. Recently, I've been thinking about going back and switching to only online learning at an online college with a change in degree. Not those Diploma Mills the actual thing but, I'm afraid I won't get accepted because of my past classes and the grades. Will it still be possible to be accepted even with low GPA? What if I wanted to do a 4yr plan combined with the Bachelors, would it be acceptable? I can only do online because I recently became a new mother but I want to keep my education going. Any tips? Advice? Thank you.

Community college would be the easier route to stick with it, online schooling can be tough. If you’re really interested though, you may want to rethink about retaking some of those classes that you didn’t do so well in. Although if that’s not an option for you at this time you could go see your adviser and ask to see your chances of getting accepted, it also depends on what online school you want to go to.

Well, I can’t go back to my campus. I’m still currently pregnant, I live out in the country (my nearest college campus is 30mins, and in the long run I won’t have someone to care for my child because I’m not working just going to school. Maybe I can try to take online courses only but through my campus and see how that works. Do they offer fast paced? I’m so stuck… I feel I will never finish.

There are some residential programs for single mothers. You and your child live at the school in special housing. I haven’t checked requirements for admission and aid, but you might want to.
