Anybody get into FSU, UF, UCF, or USFSP with a 3.2 or below?
USFSP yes, UF no, FSU no, UCF as a reach if unweighted and applying to Undergraduate Studies, Early Childdhood Development… but no way if you apply for engineering. And of course if that 3.2 is weighted, no way at UCF. FIU, FAU, FGCU may be possible with that GPA.
Well I want to major in Criminology,
These schools are competitive but if you do well on SATS/acts and challenge yourself in school you should be fine. Apply to a variety…have safety colleges in mind
Yea I did pretty well on the ACT I got a 26, but I am taking it again. My senior classs are pretty intense.
AP Psychology
AP Microeconomics
AP Language and Composition
AP Government and Politics
Pre-cal Honors
Chemistry Honors
FSU => apply for summer session but it’s a huge reach even like that
UF => don’t bother
UCF => your ACT is average there so you’d need to boost it to a 27-28 to have a shot with a 3.2; same thing with USF main campus
USFSP => you’re in
You need to apply to universities where your 26 places you near the top applicants in order to offset your GPA: FIU, FAU, UNF (+ Barry, Eckerd, Stetson, Flagler…)
Well FSU is my first choice and I am applying through the CARE program, would that help?
Yes, I think it will, but it’s still a reach - with CARE, 40% odds you’ll get in?
Aww. Man what college are you attending/have attended?
