I have 1.3 gpa currently. I have attended three semesters so far and have been placed on academic probation. I am going to start taking classes at a local communtiy college. My gpa is so low because I had a lot going on the past two years. I wanna start back up again. So I have sent my transcript to the community college but i am afraid when i want to transfer from the community college to 4 year university. The low gpa is going to affect my admissions or what if I dont send my 1.3 gpa transcripts to the 4 year university.

Yes, when you transfer, you will need to send in all of your transcripts, but don’t worry! If you can pull a 180 at a CC by showing strong grades in the classes you take here on out, colleges that you consider to transfer to will LOVE seeing an upwards trend! Just be sure to explain what happened 
Also, don’t sign up for too many classes at a time in CC as to not overwhelm you. You want to avoid any withdrawals, and the classes you take NEED to be completed with As (and some Bs) if you want to consider transferring to competitive 4-years. While at CC, I recommend:
-Joining your campus’s Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (looks good, you’ll make friends with people who want to excel in their classes, and scholarships!) Another great reason to join is that you’ll find people here that will FOR SURE motivate you!
-Taking honors classes when you are comfortable (most community college offer some kind of honors college/classes/program. Usually requires you to do some research project.)
-Get close to your professors! Definitely easier to do at a CC. They will be writing your letter of recs
-Get involved on campus (your CC’s student senate, clubs, volunteering, etc!)
Community college is a GREAT experience! MAKE SURE to write down everything you become involved with or accomplish during your time here. This will save your life for college apps/scholarship apps. There are also HUGE scholarships just for transfers. Join PTK!! Lol. Good luck! You can certainly change your life here. I know first hand.

CC is a wonderful way to start fresh.
Many students who had low GPAs can turn things around and transfer to four year college. I was one of those students. After being put on academic probation at community college, I turned things around and ended up on the Dean’s List at my university. Colleges like to see upward trends. Good luck.
Colleges realize that people mature at different times and ages. A great record at CC will demonstrate you are worthy of another chance and ready to make the most of it.
