I live in Qatar and I am studying at a national university majoring in Accounting, which is AACSB accredited. The tuition for a year is equal to 3295.80 USD there. I opted for a transfer to Georgetown SFS in Qatar and got admitted. The tuition is definitely incomparable.
Do you think Georgetown is worth the investment? I will be majoring in international economics there, or would you suggest I stay in the national university and use that money to get my masters in the US ?
I am stuck between a rock and a hard stone, and its just a hard call so I would really appreciate your help!
I have real problems believing a GTown Qatar education is worth more than an AACSB accredited accounting field of study. Stay where you are. Look at options for grad school.
Are you being offered financial aid? Is it affordable? You shouldn’t bank on getting into Georgetown twice.
@“Erin’s Dad” but I heard that georgetown university is very prestigeous, and all alumni get employed as soon as they graduate. The national university’s rank is in the 400 worldwide.
G-town also told me that the degree will be identical to the main campus in Washington DC.
I went to the GAAP day today, the environment is very diverse and competitive, but I still am very indecisive.
Can you please elaborate ?
@CaliCash I have the option to apply for a financial aid, where I take a student loan, but the acceptance is not guaranteed. After graduation, I have to work im Qatar for a few years to pay back the debt. They take 20% of my salary.
