So I’m looking at mostly UC’s and Cal States to apply to next year, and http://www.rn.ca.gov/schools/passrates.shtml shows the pass rates of different schools in CA for the NCLEX. What confuses me is that UCLA and UC Irvine have really low pass rates (74%, 79%) compared to the Cal State schools (all of them have better pass rates than the UC’s). If UC schools are supposed to be better than Cal State schools, and way harder to get into, why do they have such low pass rates for the NCLEX?
Because they are heavily biology and chemistry based, and less nursing based.
