Yes I know another chance thread. I'm sorry, but my question is: does Cal sometimes accept students with an SAT score lower that 2000, mine is a 1980 and ACT 30. I have ADHD but was just recently diagnosed, which is why I probably did so poorly on my test.
So do you think that I still have a shot at getting accepted?

Yes, I think you have a shot.
I had the same SAT score, not that great extra currics, high GPA.
But I got the questionnaire which means I was at the borderline.
I didn’t think I’d get in but I did. You never know.

you have a great shot, i got regents candidacy with a 2080, so anything is possible

I don’t understand why people ask such questions. Berkeley obvious accepts people with SATs under 2000. That’s why they only include an average, which means there will be people with low scores and people with high scores. I find it quite offensive that you say that you did poorly on the test due to ADHD, despite scoring a 1980. There are people on this board who scored less than that, so what does that say about them?

Go-Backk, are you a current cal student now?

well my standards are set high, so yes i do think a 1980 is not that great. i took the test again, unofficially - just a practice one for princeton review, and scored a 2210. I was really bummed that I could have done that well if i had just found out earlier

do well on your essay, high gpa means a lot more than SAT’s

GoCalBearss, i’m a current cal student.

Another success story for those who get the supplemental request.
