Hey everyone, I would really want to get into the education program for this school. I’ve done everything possible to ensure a successful future, 3.75 GPA and a number of after school activities/community service projects that I’m passionate about and a lot of leadership roles. My problem is, is that I am a very poor standardized test taker. I’m the type of kid that even if I took a fancy class, I would still only get a 1600 on the SAT. Is there any way I could get in? I come from a small school, only 60 kids in the graduating class and from New England.
u have to study harder for the sat if u really want to go to vanderbilt yo
i used to score 1500’s on practice SAT’, went hard for about 4 hours a day for 3 months and raised it to around a 2100 yo
the grind bruh
There’s a chance for anything to happen, but unfortunately you’re going up against students with the same or similar stats/activities and better SAT scores. Which, in turn, just makes them better candidates. It sounds like you haven’t taken one of “those fancy classes”, have you considered trying anyways? It can only help, surely.
Have you tried the ACT? You may do better on it. My son did much better on the ACT over the SAT. Needless to say the SAT scores were not submitted.
