My name is ron and I am 23 year old college student graduating next year. I scored a 910 on the SAT and Im worried Im not going to be a success in life. I want to have a nice job, get married, build a good future and live a happy life. Has anyone else scored in the 900s, went to college and is very successful. I want to find other people in my score range who made it big in life. Should I get down in life because of my low SAT scores. Granted this is 6 years ago. These scores still haunt me today. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

there are many people who dont go to college and are successful. you dont need a degree to be successful, although it helps.

Low SAT scores defs do not restrict life success. You say you are graduating from college? Take what you have learned and apply it positive and work your way up. Remember, commitment and hardwork is the key. Some of us have to work harder than other.. however if you do work hard you will get rewarded overwhelming majority of the times.

Your SAT score isn't that bad. It's better than like 30-40% of the people who take it [I'm assuming you're going by the old SAT, which was out of 1600].

And lots, lots, lots of people have had successful, happy lives after scoring in/below your range.

I don't think your SAT score will have any bearing on any future success. I mean, it's not that any prospective employers are going to see your SAT score, all they'll see is your degree and college transcript.

Yeah. You guys are right. I have to start preparing for the GMAT in a year. I want to get my MBA. I don't know this test used to blow my confidence and self-worth. I try not to let affect me anymore. I bet you if I took now, 6 years later, I score much higher. Im just going to focus on getting good grades my last year at college. i was trying to look up famous people's SAT scores. According to several websites, howard stern got a 870 and Jeane Garafolo got a 950. They are two very successful people today. There's hope for me.
Although howard stern went to BU, so maybe thats not true.

Thanks for the great article zoaxa. Very helpful and encouraging.
