i think u need to give us a bit more info if u want legit help. the physics and chem scores are nice and math lvl 2 would probably be good for you too.

ugh, why am i typing this....its too hard to tell from just scores and a list of ECs

I think SAT1 Math, Verbal has more weightage than SATIIs during the admission process.
Last year the acceptance rate for
SAT1 Math < 650
600-640 615 27 4%
550-590 347 7 2%
< 550 217 0 0%
SAT1 Verbal < 600
550-590 950 63 7%
< 550 1,097 41 4%

im really screwed because I cant re-take the test anymore unless I decide to apply for year of 2014. I just hope that Im part of the small percentage thats accepted.

its fine. whatever happens now is gonna happen. your lucky that your younger than most students by 2 years, you could technically apply 3 times and still not be older than the students in your own class.

I would definitely say continue working on your academic abilities, everyone should. If you do get into MIT, that's great; you can tell me what it's like there (I have so much confidence don't I?). But if you don't, and most won't, it's still ok. MIT is just one opportunity in life. There are so many other places to go where you'll meet amazing professors and students. Though it's probably easier to find those kind of people at MIT; nevertheless, there are incredible people in this world who aren't affiliated with this school. I think the most important thing is to focus on yourself, who are you and what do you want to do, and then take action. Seriously, we're in the information age where ideas are no longer locked away in elite universities, the internet is such a great tool for learning (OCW woot!). By doing that, no one can stop you from your path to success, not even MIT XD, jk.

So lighten up. If you get the boot just go somewhere else and get the most from there. And if u really want to get into MIT, i guess you could always apply a couple more times. lol. but i doubt staying out of school for 2 years is good.

You can still take the January SAT. It's too late to register, so you'd have to pay a small extra fee and do standby admission, which involves going to your school guidance department and asking for a form. Then you go to the SAT location and hope someone didn't show up so you can take his or her spot.

I'm not saying you should take the SAT again, but since you mentioned it I wanted to to point out that you could if you wanted to.

thanks for everything guys. I cant register for january because late registration is not permitted in my country. And although MIT is my first choice (and this is an MIT thread) can you Chance me for some of the other schools
