Low-vision High Schooler trying to learn more Computer Science?

I have been trying to learn more computer science online through tutorials and classes, but it’s just not working! The main reason is because I have low vision and videos with small font are hurting my eyes. Anyone know of any good online programs with large text accessibility? Or large print programming books that explain code throughly?

Are there technologies you can use to help? Large screens and setting them to lower resolution (so larger sizes)? Kindle for books where you can adjust font size? You have gotten whatever optics you can to improve things as much as possible, right?

Yes, I use my computer’s magnifier and Read&Write Gold, but it’s hard for me to “visualize” the text when it is read aloud to me. (For example indentations, things of that nature.)

I do use large print online books, but do not have an iPad or anything like that to read it on… I read most of those on my phone but it can get frustrating moving the screen back and forth to read things. (Especially when you’re trying to read a block of text not in a paragrah form, like example code.) That’s why I perfer large print books that are not electronic for things like computer science, unless it is all just text and no example code.

Videos are helpful, but only if there is a way for me to magnify the screen while watching the video (which has never been successful), or if the text in it is big font. @Ynotgo

I agree reading on a phone would be frustrating. There is a Kindle application you can install on PCs/Macs. Does that work for some books?

I know this may not make sense much because I am so into CS, but reading stuff on the computer actually hurts my eyes more than on a phone. I believe this may be because even with bigger font, my eyes just can’t handle stuff on computers as well. I get eye strain pretty easily. I can try it! I think that if there are settings where I can change constant, that might work better.
