Does anybody know what nightlife is like at Loyola MD? I know there is no greek life, and I have heard that people don't have parties on campus. What is the average Saturday night at Loyola? Can you go to bars if you are not 21?

I am not encouraging, endorsing, or even condoning what I am about to say but there are a number of establishments in Baltimore, particularly in Charles Village near Johns Hopkins (I.e., less than a mile from Loyola) that, shall we say, are known to students to be somewhat lax about enforcing the drinking age requirements.

My sister goes to Loyola so I can probably speak somewhat knowledgeably about the school. Baltimore is a pretty decent city for nightlife. She tells me there are ample restaurants, movie theaters, whatever. Apparently, a lot of the students head over to JHU and party there. So yea, not a lot of parties on campus. Going to local bars is fairly popular too, and, as bonanza said, a lot of the establishments are pretty lax about the drinking age. Let’s just say that unless you look like you’re 12 you won’t have much of a problem with the bars.
