LSAT Diagnostic

I was just wondering if anybody had a good recommendation for an LSAT diagnostic. Also, how is the diagnostic different from a practice test (or is it just a different name for your first practice test)?

“Diagnostic” usually means a test given by one of the test prep companies. Based on the results, the company tells you which area of the test you need to prep most for, etc.

or, a “diagnostic” can just be a real test (available from lsac) that you take at home under testing-like conditions.

Personally, I’m not a fan of diagnostics. IMO, it’s better to start practice first, and then start testing.
