Lse?

Anyone know what the undergrad student experience is like? How about recruiting compared to top US schools?

I personally don't know much about LSE for undergrad...but I do know a lot of people who went to Harvard undergrad, LSE for grad school. All the ones I've talked to said they loved being able to have the American college experience and then the international perspective of the grad school.

I know someone who went to University of Bristol for undergraduate and night school at LSE for graduate. He got into IB(not sure what firm?) through IT and then springboard from then to become CFO of a bond fund. BTW, This person lives in London not NY. I used to work with him when he was a low life engineer. ;)

You might post this on the Internationals Forum. They are very well informed about the UK schools.

We've known several kids, both American and others, who have done graduate work at LSE. They are all very accomplished students with truly global backgrounds who had a wide range of options for their advanced degrees.

LSE seems less popular for undergrad among the students at my son's international high school. (There are few Brits at this school, however, so that may account for the lack of interest.)

I recently talked to the father of an Indian boy who had chosen LSE for undergrad over some substantial American universities -- like Northwestern and JHU. The father's point of view was that LSE would provide a pure business/economics/career focus as opposed to what he perceived as the "time-wasting" liberal arts.
