Does anyone know about how competitive admission, as a transfer student, to the London School of Economics would be? I'd really like to apply, but want to make sure it's slightly realistic.

Thanks.

Also, I'm just starting my Freshman year, so I don't have "stats" just quite yet. Just wondering what I would shoot for if I wanted to apply there.

If you're not going to a top 10-20 school with great stats or a great hook I would think it would be very difficult since LSE is considered one of the top few schools in the UK. 'Course I could be wrong but I would imagine international admission to be pretty selective.

It's almost impossible to transfer there from a CC since there are no such things as CCs in Europe. If you were going to a Top10 school, you may have a shot, but even then it would be really hard because the educational systems are totally different. Generally, there are no such things as "transfers" in Europe either ; )

I was under the impression you had to start as a first year student in the UK. They dont really do things like we do. Though from what I understand it is a heavy numbers based admission game. Also LSE is unlike Oxbridge in that it does not have a reputation for refusing admissions to Americans in almost every case. So maybe?
