Reading @MaineLonghorn note…okay, I’ll hold myself back. :slight_smile: OP, thanks for posting and alerting us to this most recent fraternity death.

This got a mention on NPR. His blood alchohol count was something like 4.8.

http://www.nola.com/crime/index.ssf/2017/10/lsu_fraternity_death_arrests.html says that Gruver’s blood alcohol was 0.495%. 0.3% and higher risk death, increasing as the level increases, although there have been some who survived levels over 1%.

It there even a chart about how to get to 0.495% alcohol? Were they doing alcohol enemas?

190 proof alcohol.

@MaterS OW

It was reported that Maxwell Gruver was singled out by one of the older brothers and made to drink more than other pledges because he did not like him. This brother is the one charged with criminally negligent homicide and explains why Gruver’s BAC was so high.

Maybe we should have a sticky thread for all the hazing/alcohol deaths. This happens every year.

I cannot wrap my mind around how that is even physically possible unless people were still pouring alcohol into him after he had passed out.

@romanigypsyeyes, I’ve seen rumors of exactly that. And that there may be video of such.

This was the theme of last TV show on Bull.
