Lucrative careers in Finance OTHER than investment banking?

Hello,
All I read in these forums about finance is Ibanking. I was just wondering are there are other careers in finance with good prospects OTHER than Ibanking? I really havnt taken a finance course yet so i wouldnt know but from what ive gathered from this forum ppl think Ibanking= only good career in finance, is that true?

investment management/asset management/portfolio manager

thanks for replying! and can a college graduate get these positions straight out of college or
do u need to work a while in that firm?

Corporate, then bust your butt.

The vast, vast majority of people studying finance do not becomer ibankers. Lots of finance jobs in the typical corporation.

^^Yea, what’s up with the misconception on this forum that Finance students all try to go into iBanking? And also that iBanking is the only lucrative career in finance. Of course it may be the MOST lucrative, but if you know your stuff and work hard corporate finance can lead to an amazing salary.

Look into investment banking. Those guys make a lot of money.

wait what?

thanks for ur replies guys.

Yea ibanking wouldnt be bad lol but id really like to keep all my options open. I know there is a specific course called ibanking at stern but i dunno if i should take that, much rather take some more general finance course than that
