Ludwell Apts.

Are the Ludwell Apartments still in use since Jamestown has opened this past fall? Also, since Jamestown has opened, will there still be a lot of upperclassmen bumped from on-campus housing or is there adequate housing for everyone now?

Ludwell Apartments are definitely still in use. I currently live here, and I plan to live here again next year. I really like it. The extra space of an apartment without the extra pains (ie, you only have to pay the housing price and don't have to worry about utilities and such) is very nice. They do bump people from the housing lottery, but every year that I have been here, everyone who has wanted to live on campus has gotten the opportunity. The dorms out by the varsity soccer and baseball field are no longer in use now that Jamestown is open.

... and Jamestown is extremely nice, by the way =)

I actually moved out of Ludwell into Jamestown during the fall semester. While the independence that Ludwell offers is nice, I feel it is somewhat removed from the rest of campus. Jamestown is nice, but I feel like it's already taking a beating (well, at least on my hall, people are extremely disrespectful and the kitchen/furniture already looks atrocious).
