LUMS decisions

When will we be able to apply for accommodation?

Got into the SD Business School. Mom is gonna be so happy!
You should start checking your status online

Around 40 kids at my school received their acceptance letters today. Check your online portal if you haven’t received any package.

It’s still unsure what it means if your admission status is unchanged. One friend, who didn’t give his SSE, has his SSE decision listed as ‘submitted’. Make of it what you will.

guys my application status says submitted…what should i make of it??am i placed in waiting?

I live abroad.did any overseas student got their decisions made?

No, there’s a girl on XtremePapers who’s still waiting. I think all of us should wait for 10 days or so. I’ve heard that the next list will be out by then. And @bajwaa my status is the same. It means it hasn’t been updated yet.

How many lists are there @reesha? Any idea?

Honestly? I have no idea. Everyone keeps telling me three and they come ten days apart, but my friend got his letter today and sent me a picture of it. it says that he needs to pay the fees and send in the application form by the 25th April, so I THINK it could come before then. But I can’t be sure. Koi pata nahi hota :/

Did you apply for FA? And did any senior tell u this or is it more of a rumour?

Nope. No FA. Honestly, it’s a guess :stuck_out_tongue: Samajh nahi aa raha LUMS kia kar raha hai.

Did u just guessed this out of nowhere? :stuck_out_tongue: its a good guess wese :stuck_out_tongue: khush hojata hai banda. There’s this senior who told me that the next list would come after 1 month. Well, that’s what happened last year. Dekho ab kia hota hai

Wait, seriously? :S Everyone says it comes after 10 days. Then what did they do about the fees and accommodation? I wish LUMS had announced the decisions on one day -__- I can’t handle my decision coming in the middle of the papers ;; Actually, no I guessed it because the deadline for praying the fees and submitting the accommodation application is written as 25th April on my friend’s letter :/

No one can. I hope that they come at least 2 weeks before the CIEs. Well what I’ve heard is that they wait for the people to deposit . Those who do, have a confirmed seat for 2017 batch. Those who don’t, have their seats cancelled and then they pick people from the other list. Then again this is not at all authentic since I’ve heard this from my batchmate who was told abt this by some senior.

I swear, someone from admissions should see these threads and empathize with our anguish :P

Hahahaha. Only if it was possible :stuck_out_tongue: :frowning: let’s hope for the best. Aur kia kahun  :-P

IA, it’ll work out for the best for all of us :)

So, can anyone here help me understand the refund policy?

@namegoeshere: I was about to post the same thing! We can get the tuition fee refunded even if we meet the condition, right? I am not sure because it says that first year students can’t take their first semester off, and that first year students can’t withdraw from all courses.

Anyone mind clearing it up?

^ as far as i know, if you meet the condition then you can’t get the tuition fee refunded. But if you don’t, then ofcourse it’ll be LUMS who won’t be taking you in then so they’ll refund the tuition fees.
I’m not sure about this however, its just what I’ve heard.

Well, the letter clearly points out that 100% of the tuition fee shall get refunded if one doesn’t meet the criteria. However, the other situations aren’t that clear. It says that if you withdraw before the commencement of classes, you have to inform the Office of Admissions and ‘upong approval the following refund policy will apply’, with admission fee non-refundable after June 14 and tuition fee non-refundable 15 days after commencement of classes.
