@sophistry: Omg that’s insanely early. @_@ I can’t imagine eating lunch-type foods that early. I’d treat it as breakfast. & yeah, classes are easier to handle before lunch, because afterward everyone is all full and tired.

@thes1tuation: Your time is much better than mine, the good fast food places are open. D: & yeah, I go out to eat every day too unless I have rehearsal or stuff for yearbook. Being locked in school all day starts to drive me crazy lol.

I wish we could leave… but our school is in a residential area, and it would take too long to get back to school within 25 minutes after leaving, buying, and consuming.

Yeah, it’s very annoying. I had lunch at the same time last year. A lot of days I just brought something from home, because there is no way I want to eat pizza at 10am.

We’re not allowed to go off campus for lunch either. It’s a shame because we’re in a convenient location. Lots of convenience stores, fast food places, etc. all in walking distance. A lot of students also have cars which opens up even more possibilities. I’d also be able to go home because I only live two blocks away. But I know that there’s no plans to change the policy.

^^Well, going off campus is just not allowed, for lunch or any other reason. I mean, yeah a security guard will stop you if they see you just walking off campus, but no one really does it for lunch. Students do sometimes leave, but generally it’s for the rest of the day and because they just feel like cutting.

^Wow, that’s really ridiculous. In elementary school it was 20 minutes. But now I go to a giant public school so the four lunch periods need to be as long as a regular class, which is 42 minutes.

^Oh, so everyone stays on campus. Yeah, my school is the opposite lol. Everyone with a car (or friends with someone who has a car) tends to leave.

& my lunch in elem was 30 mins… & I have an hour now. I feel bad for you people with short lunches. :/

A lot of people at my school order in Subway and stuff if they don’t want to buy school food. I normally bring stuff from home though. You guys have ridiculous lunchtimes… I think my school’s small enough so that we can all eat lunch at the same time - 12:50 to 1:40.

In my school the lunch hours were staggered although there were only about 800 of us. I think my last lunch break was from 12.55-1.35 but we were forced to sit in the dining hall till 1.20. We had a dining hall with hot food.

This is really interesting for me. Here in NZ, everybody in the school (even a school of 2000+), students have lunch at the same time. We don’t all eat in the cafeteria though, at my school students have lunch on the courtyard, in the certain classrooms we can go to for eating lunch, on the grass and almost anywhere around the school.
Anyway, lunch varies for each day (some days we have more classes, some days we have sports meetings etc) usually starts at 12:30~12:45.

It’s not too ridiculous at my school, but sometimes it was a little tough since I had zero hour and I had the third and last lunch (11:45). But all of the times are pretty reasonable.

The lunch hours at my old school depended on a student’s year. Underclassmen were more likely to have lunch at 11:10 while upperclassmen were more likely to have lynch at 12:30. Meanwhile, some folks of all years would have lunch at 11:50. It depended on the day, really.

upperclassmen at my school are supposed to have off campus lunch privileges but my senior they decide to schedule it so i have a class immediately before and after lunch, which means i cant go to lunch really. i could have, but its only 30 minutes and thats basically enough time to go through the drive thru and eat in my car, which isnt worth it
