I'm going to study abroad for my first time and I've narrowed down my choices to either Edinburgh or Lund uni in Sweden. Which is better in terms of:

Academics?

Accommodation?

Friendliness?

Social Life?

Campus Architecture?

Expenses?

City Life?

Things to do?

Overall Experience?

Oh and Women (just slightly a bit curious)?

can anyone at least tell me anything about Lund University?

dont know anything about Lund Uni, what attracts you there?
do you know Swedish cause that might help which is why Edinburgh might be a easier choice so no language barrier

Lund is one of the best universities in Scandinavia, and a lovely little city that’s very close to Copenhagen for great weekends out. Edinburgh is a beautiful city and an amazing university. They’re both expensive cities, Lund perhaps a little more so. Edinburgh will be more lively with more things to do.

yes finally thank you for the info Dionysus58

to DomonicP what attracts me is i heard its nice there, people ride bikes everywhere, and its next to copenhagon which is also supposely very nice. I also want to learn a european lang. or two and the exchange program at my transfer uni (mizzou) offers an intensive lang. course and lund also offers a ton of courses in english.

But I don’t know I hear alot of great things about Edinburgh so its a tough decision for me

I don’t know anything about Lund university, but I have been to Scandinavia a few times, and I go to university in Scotland so I think I could help a bit. Edinburgh is an awesome city, with loads of things to do and really beautiful architecture. The people are incredibly friendly too; it’s the only place I’ve ever been where complete stangers will offer to buy me a beer. The women aren’t bad, definitely better than the English, although not nearly as good looking as the Swedes.

One more thing is that you might have more trouble understanding the Scottish than the Swedes. When I went it seemed like just about everyone spoke English, but Scottish English can be pretty hard for an American to understand.

haha thanks Mr Bobo
