I got accepted to both programs for M.S. Civil Engineering with focus in Structural Engineering. I'm having a hard time to decide which school is right for me. I will list the pros and cons of each:

CSULB:
Pros: ~20min commute (save money on rent), weather, location, student vibe, nightlight/activities
Cons: Average program

Cal Poly Pomona:
Pros: Significantly better program
Cons: ~40 min commute (possible rent out a room, more $), weather, location, nightlight/activities.

Basically, CSULB and CPP are opposite schools in pros and cons in my estimation. Note: the the advisor at CPP said how much better CPP is than CSULB so much so that they shouldn't even be compared to each other.

If anyone has any insight on each of the programs that will best provide me with the right school. If CPP's program is that significantly better and will open up opportunities not available at CSULB then I think I got my choice. But if CPP's advisor is over hyping up their program than I might have to choose CPP. At the end of the day I have to decide which I need more the pros of csulb or cpp.

Get back to me asap since I need to decide by July 1st.
