What do you guys think about the M.S. in Commerce program at UVA? It's a one-year business program with tracks for Marketing & Management and Financial Services. The stats seem good (2011 average total compensation was $70,357 for Financial Services and $59,964 for Marketing & Management) but the program is really expensive. Even with in-state tuition, it's about $37k just for tuition and the Global Immersion Experience (a month abroad in Asia or Europe). Does that seem worth it? I've asked around to see how this year's class is doing and there have been offers from Capital One, Deloitte Consulting, Bain, McKinsey, BCG, IBM, etc... My background is in English so Commerce is brand new to me.
