<p>Anyone know anything about the MS in commerce? I know it's intended for liberal arts/science/other non business majors, and it's a pretty new program. I'm thinking about applying for when the time comes. Does this MS preclude you from getting an MBA? Good program? How's the recruitment?</p>
<p>I’ve heard good things about the program and several of my friends will be enrolling in it this fall. A master’s in one year? Perfect for the target audience of non business majors. You can definitely go onto getting an MBA afterwards. I’m not entirely sure about the recruitment though.</p>
<p>In my opinion however, if you’re going to be pursuing a master’s, you’re better off with a MBA. An MBA degree is much more recognizable and marketable. However, that comes with the prerequisite 2+ years working experience and probably some type of business education, which is often a tall order for non business majors.</p>
