This is kind of a long shot, but maybe I’ll strike some informational gold.
So I’m currently doing my upper division undergrad work at CSU Chico for a B.S. Exercise Physiology. Currently at a 3.33 cumulative GPA, with great prospects of getting very high 3.8+ upper division GPA. I’m starting to research preparing for the GRE and am actively searching for personal trainer internships. By the time I apply for graduate admission I’ll also have great letters of recommendation, so overall I should be a competitive candidate.
Basically, I’ve narrowed my search for graduate school to three universities:
- M.S. Kinesiology at Cal Poly SLO
- M.S. Exercise Physiology at SDSU
- M.S. Kinesiology at CSULB
So my question is, has anyone done any of these programs, or know anyone who has gone through them? If so, how competitive was the admission process, and how was the quality of the academics? I’m particularly interested in Cal Poly and SDSU. Likely, I’ll just end up contacting the departments themselves but thought I’d throw a feeler out here on the forum as well- the more information, the better!
