M.S. Statistics or M.S. Biostatistics

I am a transfer student about to go to UCDavis. As of now, I have a 3.3 GPA and I have yet to start doing major coursework for the Stats undergrad. This means I still have two years to raise my GPA. Anyways, I am just trying to think ahead of time here.

Question: In order to get into a prestigious school’s graduate program for these majors, what GPA should a student have?
Example: UCBerkeley, Stanford, Columbia, etc, etc…
Thank you!

I don’t think there’s any one specific GPA you should have - it kind of depends on the rest of your package, and who else you are competing with. I will say that I think a 3.3. is fine, especially if your stats GPA is higher and/or you have some relevant experience (internship, research experience, etc.) A 3.5+ would be even better, if you could get that.

Alright! Thank you juillet!
