Phd in Biostatistics/Statistics

Hey guys:
I'm currently a master level grad student at Georgetown majored in Biostat. I got my B.A degree in Applied Math from UC Berkeley.
I'm going to apply for a Phd Program in Statistics or Biostatistics.
I have a 3.9 undergrad GPA, and 4.0 grad GPA. No publication, one year of research experience in biostatistics and bioinformatics, one invited presentation and two contributed presentations at international and national conferences.

The problem is that, my GRE score is only 1260 (quant-800,verbal-460,aw-3.5). Also, as you may know, the Georgetown biostat program is not highly ranked.

I know that it would be wise to retake the GRE, but I really don't have time to prepare for that.
Do you guys think that I have a good shot if I am going to apply for the following schools:

Cornell
Emory
University of Florida
UC Davis
Penn state
Ohio state
Michigan state
SUNY Buffalo

Thank you so much.

I think you are aiming too low. If you’re a US citizen/permanent resident, you will be competitive for admission at every biostat program in the country. Even if not, you should apply to several top 10 programs (Hopkins, Harvard, UW, Michigan, UNC, Minnesota, Berkeley, etc.) where you will likely have a decent shot of getting in.

Hi cyberwulf! Thanks for your reply man! I am new to college confidential, so I had a hard time finding my own posts. I am sorry that I saw your reply this late.
I am not citizen/resident, so I understand that would be more challenging for me to get into a phd program.
I really appreciate for your tips which made me feel more comfortable. I will be starting to send out applications next month. Hope everything will be going well!!!
Are you you a grad student in biostat?
