<p>I am currently applying for the M&T Summer Institute at UPenn, so right now I am asking teachers to write my letters of recommendation. I do have a couple of questions though:</p>
<ol>
<li><p>What exactly are the adcoms for the program looking to find in the letters/overall application?</p></li>
<li><p>Is there something specific that I should ask my teachers to touch on/describe in the letter, or is a general letter what is wanted?</p></li>
