M&tsi

just get a 2400 and youll be fine

has anyone who applied in march gotten a reply yet? either positive or negative? i havent gotten anything
all i got was the mistake when they sent out the payment email

has anyone else gotten anything this past week or past few weeks?

i applied in april and i still havnt heard back either…
according to the m&tsi website the decisions are supposed to be out by friday so we’ll see…

fingers crossed for good news!

anyone know how many people they take each year?

so who else is in?

It seems that they have extended their own decisions deadline to may 1st :-/

i got in! yay

Yay, good job IvyPlanner. (:

I, on the otherhand, has not heard anything back since that email on the 15th… I wish they could’ve stuck to their own deadline or at least told us a few days or so beforehand. It’s not very professional of them to extend it on the day they were supposed to tell us.

Anyone know how selective the program is? I have heard everything from 50% to 15% and the email a few weeks ago said that they saw a 70% increase in applications. Any ideas?

Ivyplanner - congrats! SATs? ECs?

I heard that there were around 250 applicants this year (so 20%). I also got in to the program a few days ago. I think that they may have accepted a few applicants to see how many would accept, and any vacancies that they still had left they would still have time to fill.

Good luck one step two steps.

Well, considering they only admit ~50 students each year for M&TSI, I’d think that it 's a pretty selective program.

That said, all decisions are coming out on May 1st.

edit: also made it in approx 4/21

Also got in around 4/21 (money is already in the mail! see 'yall there). If anyone is interested I did some ■■■■■■■■ on the 2009 facebook group for M&TSI – out of the 50 participants 33 have their current college/university listed publicly. 40% of those 33 are currently at UPenn, 50% are at an Ivy League school, and 70% are at an Ivy/MIT/Stanford. Interesting – don’t know what this says either about the program itself or the awesome participants. CANT WAIT TO GO!!!

Hrm, maybe this is a better question (though less likely to be answered): has anyone been rejected recently?

Oh, I’m so jelly :C

Onestep – have you not heard yet? Kinda crazy to be honest. I hope you get in – you should hear by Sunday, right?

Cant wait to see you guys at Penn!

Good luck to you, Onestep!

onstep: i still havent gotten a reply either
congrats to all those who got in! I was wondering if any of you could post your stats: SATs, ECs etc? (i need to tell another program whether I’m interested or not soon so i want to know if i have a chance at getting in…)

Perhaps I’m still a bit new around these parts, but I’ve always found asking for stats pretty rude.

Moreover, you’re going to get your results tomorrow.

I dont think its rude to ask so I’ll post mine. I was accepted a week or so ago.

See you all there!!!I’m so excited.

hey, just wanted to let you guys know that if you got into M&TSI, we created a facebook group called M&TSI 2011, so look for it if you get in… we only have like 8 members so far
good luck for those who are still waiting! haha

Bumping this old thread but hoping some of the folks from last year would respond. If one doesn’t have too much enginneering experience, would m&T be ok? Or LBW? I have a lot of business club experience so I am afraid LBW will be too much of the same thing. On the other hand, I dont want a massively heavy engineering oriented M&T…but feel I would get more out of M&T than lbw. Could someone share their experience at m&T…I am not a big engineering lab person either…but can probably manage. Oh, and what was the girl to guy ratio?
