I'm thinking of doing MA in either Arts Administration or Art History. I am considering NYU, SAIC, Columbia and Yale, but I want to know what my chances are.. Art history honours, GPA 3.6, internship at Art Councils and some smaller galleries. I am also an executive of my school's art history students association. Everybody's been telling me that I need GPA 3.8 to get into top schools, so I'm a bit afraid.
Also, if you have any other suggestions for schools, it'd be appreciated.

Maybe check out Pratt? They are known for having good programs (I'm more familiar w/ their design programs though), but lower admissions standards. A lot of people who get into top schools with no aid end up at Pratt on scholarship.

I wouldn't imagine a 3.6 will get your application thrown out - 3.8 may very well be the average, but lots of other parts of your app come into play. Ignore "everybody" and put together the best application you can. Your statement of purpose and letters of rec will be far more crucial.
