I finished my undergraduate education in 2010 and I have been working in a few industries since then.
I am planning on applying for a MA program in American Indian Studies this year.
I do have some professional/volunteer experiences related to American Indian studies and my intended research area. But I do not have any research experiences whatsoever and my GPA is 3.3. I even got C+ on one of my undergraduate courses in American Indian Studies...

I am really worried about my poor standing. What do you guys think? Will lack of research experiences and low GPA really negatively affect my standing? Some say, for MA, they won't matter as much as they do for PhD. Is there anyone who is in the field of American Indian Studies or something similar and has gone through graduate admissions?

Thank you allll for your thoughts and advice!
