MA Women's/Gender Studies

I’m an Irish student, currently in a field totally unrelated to gender studies (Computer Science major, actually). But the subject area fascinates me and before I go and spend my career nerding it up in a programming job I’d like to do something that really interests me, but which I would never get to do otherwise. So I’m thinking of applying for an MA in women’s studies.
And I’ve got a couple of questions for you people here:

Recommend me some schools! Particularly for someone with less than stellar grades - due to some personal circumstances my overall GPA is low (2.4) but my Comp Sci GPA is 3.1. I’m also already outside the standard 4 years with 3 semesters to go (entered college in September '02, June '08 graduation).

Due to the structure of college courses in this neck of the woods, the only humanities courses I’ve taken are 3 semesters of Japanese. Everything else is CS, maths and physics. Will this hurt me even more?

Is it a waste of time for me to even think about this?
