I've been accepted to the Macaulay Honors Program at Brooklyn College which gives me free tuition, a free Mac laptop, and 7500 for study abroad. However, it's in Brooklyn and the neighborhood isn't the best.
I also was accepted into Barnard College which would mean 34K a year -- of which my parents can pay 20K a year. However, it is Barnard-- linked to Columbia and all of its resources.
If I go to Macaulay, I hope to go on to Med school. If I go to Barnard, I would take my masters and become a PA (Physician's Assistant). Which college/program is better?

34k - 20k = 14k

Where would the missing 14k come from? You cannot borrow that much without a qualified co-signer, and the co-signer would need to be able to requalify each year.

Do you have any other options that are more affordable than Barnard and more appealing than Macaulay at Brooklyn?
